The SSD measures 5.7 times 1.3 times 9.8 cm and weighs 62 grams to the scope of delivery includes the Lock encryption software product, and the synchronization application Memeo AutoSync. Power is supplied via the USB port. The consumption is according to the manufacturer for a maximum of 1.5 watts.

While SSDs cost per gigabyte significantly more than hard drives, but just bring in the mobile operating two key advantages: they are due to the absence of moving parts, more robust and less sensitive to shocks. They also consume less energy.

Which shows better performance compared to hard drives only when reading and writing small files, because the USB 2.0 maximum transfer rate only 30 to 40 Mbytes / s offers. This effect is, for example, even at the Kingston SSDNow V + 128GB G2, when used in the supplied enclosure with USB connection.
